TNO is developing a 100 kWh LHTES for 150°C heat based its current small scale system (4 kWh). After verifying its performance in accordance to industry testing standards (ASTM C1784-20), it will be integrated with a steam compression heat pump developed by Standard Fasel, being an optimized version of its current HTHP. Subsequently the combined system will be tested at TNO’s Carnot lab facility.
